How we handle your information
Privacy policy
This policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
Last updated: 21 July 2026
Scope
This policy applies to this website and to enquiries you send us through it. It does not govern the handling of information inside a professional engagement, which is covered by the terms of that engagement and by our duties of professional confidentiality.
Information you give us
There are two ways to reach us from this site: the contact form, and a spoken conversation with Vera, our AI assistant. The section below covers Vera.
When you submit our contact form, we receive the details you choose to provide:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your telephone number, if you enter one
- The subject of your enquiry
- The message you write
Speaking with Vera
Vera is an automated assistant, not a person. Her role is to understand what your matter is about so that the right professional at the firm can pick it up; she does not advise you.
Calls with Vera are recorded and transcribed. She tells you so before anything is captured. We keep the transcript and the details drawn from it — such as your name, your email address, the area your matter falls under, and what you describe — so that the professional who follows up already has them.
The call is processed by the provider of the underlying AI service, a company located in the United States. Your speech, the transcript, and anything you upload during the call are sent to them for that purpose. They act as our service provider for it.
Speaking with Vera requires signing in first. There is no anonymous route: every conversation, and every document attached to one, belongs to an account we can identify.
Before the microphone is switched on, we ask you to agree, in as many words, to the conversation being recorded and transcribed, and to its being processed by our AI service provider in the United States. We keep a record of that agreement — the wording you were shown, and the date and time you accepted it.
You can withdraw that agreement whenever you like, and withdrawing it takes no more effort than giving it did.
If you would rather not speak to an automated assistant, or would rather not be recorded at all, please use the contact form instead. It reaches the same team.
Documents you upload
Vera may ask whether you want to share a document — a passport or another identity document, for instance. This is always optional, and never a condition of speaking with us.
Documents you upload are stored privately, tied to your account. They are accessible to you and to the firm, and to no one else browsing this site. As with the call itself, they are sent to our AI service provider for processing.
Information collected automatically
This website does not use analytics, advertising trackers, or third-party marketing pixels. We do not build profiles of visitors, and we do not use cookies for advertising.
Our hosting provider processes standard server request data, such as IP address and browser type, as a necessary part of delivering the site and protecting it from abuse.
Your theme preference
If you switch this site between light and dark mode, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage, on your own device. It is not a cookie, it is never transmitted to us, and clearing your browsing data removes it.
How we use your information
We use what you send us to respond to your enquiry, to assess whether we are able to assist, and to carry out the conflict checks required before accepting an engagement.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising.
Confidentiality of what you send
Please do not send sensitive details or documents about your matter through this form. Until we have confirmed an engagement and opened a secure channel, material you send may not be treated as privileged.
Retention
We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to respond and to maintain a record of our conflict checks. Where an engagement follows, retention is governed by our professional record-keeping obligations.
Recordings, transcripts, and documents you upload are kept on the same basis, and you may ask us to delete them at any point.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold. No transmission over the internet is entirely secure, and an unsolicited message should not be treated as a confidential channel.
Your rights
Panamanian data protection law gives you rights to access, correct, and delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. To exercise those rights, or to ask how your information is handled, please reach us through our contact page.
This includes your conversations with Vera. Write to us from the email address on the account, tell us what you would like removed — a recording, a transcript, a document, or the account and everything under it — and we will action it. You do not have to give a reason.
Links to other sites
Where we link to third-party websites, their own privacy practices apply to what you do there. We are not responsible for their content or their handling of your information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services and this website develop. The date shown above indicates when it was last revised.
Next step
Let’s discuss your plans in Panama.
Vera, our AI assistant, takes the first call. She notes what your matter is about, then a professional at the firm follows up.
